I have been at work for about 2 months now. It is going good, most days, I still feel lost and out of place trying to learn what to do. It can only get better, I hope.

I made it out of school and I have a job!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! I did not think I would make it out or have a job. I start work tommorrow and I have graduation tomorrow evening.

3 and a half weeks

I am down to 3 and a half weeks!!!!! I have so much to do I am not sure how I am going to get done. I lived through the city. I was scared to death when I had to go in front of the judges. I had to tell the about all 3 photos I had taken. I thought I had messed up. So Friday we went to the awards things and my part came up, my stomach started to get more knots. They started calling names stating at 5th place after that I was sure I did not place. They get to 3rd and call my name, I was shocked!!! I had to go on stage in front of 1700+ people to get my metal. SCARY!!!

The new count down is 6 weeks. I am 124 cases down and just have 36 more to go and I will have them ALL done. I cant wait until then after that I will have to go back to class and do more class work before I am able to take my final exams. Next week I will not be able to get any cases because I will be in the city with my class. I don't know what is going to happen will have to give info when I get back.

I know it has been a long time. I am now on the down hill with school I have 9 weeks left, cant wait. I now have 94 out of 166 case's. I am also quiting work so I only have school. Today I got to help with the removal of a brain tumor. The tumor was about the size of a fist.

WELL, I know the smart like streetcar is correct! Brad has been "helping" us work on the house. He was so excited, I dont think he believed my when I told him he wasnt man enough to knock this little half wall down! As long as I got to video it I wasnt gonna stop him. BRAD, STRONG LIKE BULL, SMART LIKE STREETCAR! AHHHHHHAHAHA. Hopefully we will be finished with this house this weekend. I'm exhausted, work and work and school and trigonometry(thats enough to kill anyone)

The count down is to May 13th. I went back to the hospital to day and got to go to the heart room and got to see the lungs breath and the heart pump. Very cool, it was a long case but the time went by very fast and it was neat to see.

I made it the first week back over the break. It was hard getting back in there. In the OR I got to help put in a pacemaker, that is the only new thing I got to see. Now I am starting to count down how many months I have left.

Christmas break is almost over it was good but went by way to fast. Josh got me an MP3 player and put great songs on it. We got dance revolution for Christmas, which is really hard, and guitar hero, that is fun. Josh is going down : ). Over the break we got to go to 2 Cavalry basketball games. They were fun and we got free stuff, what could be better. When I fail out of school I am going to become a Cavs dancer hehe.

This week has not been my week. First, last Wednesday I was double gloved and had a drill bit go thought them almost piercing my finger. This week I have been sick yesterday I could not scrub in and stayed home and today I had to steep back out of the surgery because I got very dizzy. A big part of that is because I have really had anything to yesterday or this morning. This afternoon I got to scrub in on a hip replacement, that is something I have not seen yet so that was neat to see how a hip replacement is done. Got to go to work now.

Back to scared to death, but I made in thought the first day of clinicals!!! That means 2 cases down only 158 more to go. Today I got to scrub in on a c-section and a laparorscopy tubal ligation.

I start going to the hospitals tomorrow I am going from scared to death to getting excited!!! Yesterday and this morning I was thinking what did I get myself into and did not know if I was going to be able to handle it. Now I am ready to go, I don't know if I will feel the same way in the morning but I am ready right now : ).

Josh and I went to the Cavs game last week. We had a really good time and I am looking forward to going to another game. We had a good Thanksgiving we got to spend time with both families it was a nice day. I start going to the hospitals on Thursday : O, oh no!! I am ready and also scared.

Josh and I had a good afternoon out by the wildlife refuge it was a nice time just to relax after a long week with school and work. We go to pet a zonkey, horse, and miniature donkeys. On top of having fun with the animal we also got to see a great view. Josh was making fun of me because we heard something and the grass moving, so I ran to catch with him, he says it was a rat but I am not so sure about that and I did not want to find out. Monday I had a chance to go back to the OR, this time I got to scrub in. I got to scrub in on an LAVH (laparoscopic hysterectomy) and a DNC. I also got to watch a graft put on an artery. It was fun. I have the check off starting on Tuesday that say if I and able to go out to the hospital. The check of will take an hour to an hour and a half. SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~ Erin

I have an instrument test today and got my first 100!!!!!! I also found out that Monday we will be going back to the OR to watch but we get to scrub in and will most likely be in a room with out another classmate like we have done the other times. Hopefully work will be slow on Halloween because I have to work and be at a fundraiser for school. If work is slow I will be able to get off and not be to late to the fundraiser. - Jalapeno hehe

It has already been 2 weeks since the last time we posted! Hmmm, Oh well. It been a pretty boring few weeks as far as I can remember. Kelly just purchased 10 gorgeous acres next to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge today at an auction. Yesterday, we went out to look at the land and we just stood back and got to see all kinds of great things, there were over a dozen elk, many turkey,and even a llama. I'm happy he bought it, I can enjoy it and don't even have to pay for it. He and I had alot of work ahead of us. I think we are in double digits as far as projects go, poop!
I have been working on getting a little less obsessed with real estate(I know that's gotta drive Erin insane, sorry Jalapeno : ) So tomorrow instead of just looking at real estate, Kelly and I going to an airshow in Wichita Falls then we are going to look at some Texas real estate! HEHE, funny thing about hanging out with Kelly is everywhere we go people think he is my father. In Lawton at the Burgess Grill the waitress will ask if my dads(tea) is coming or girlfriend(water) is coming, I have even told her hes not my dad but I don't think she believes me.
Well I am headed to bed, I will take mucho pictures tomorrow of the airplanes and maybe even a non-fatal plane crash ; ) Night yall.

I had my first orientation yesterday, only four more to go. I am now able to go to Memorial to do clinicals. First I have to pass a BIG checkoff. There is not much time before they start, Nov 29th. Exciting and scary. - Erin

ITS ALMOST THE WEEKEND!

I can't believe its already almost the weekend. I have had a really good week, some of my favorite things happened! First, its the 1st of the month so I get to collect rent. YAY! Second, the Oklahoma Tax Lien Certificate sale was this Monday-Wednesday so I was able to purchase 9 liens on properties(unfortunately, I spent all the rent money and then some). Additionally, I was able to get a free copy of the AutoCAD program yesterday. This program is one of the more challenging things I have ever attempted, my little brain has a hard time understanding all the functions. However, I have been able to draw up initial building site plans and basic floor plans. I am going to take a class on CAD next semester but I hope to learn the majority of it by myself before then. I guess I will just wait and see. Goodnight yall - Joshua

We went to Elmer Thomas Park this evening to the Boy Scouts Jamboree. It was nice, they had a band and a pretty good fireworks show. Check out this little video I took before my celly died.

We went out to the International Festival this evening. We had some yummy Samoan food, a chocolate funnel cake with chocolate syrup and even a sno cone.

Talked to the fella over on Cherry. I made him an offer he just "couldn't refuse". Turns out the he was more attached to those OU tickets than I thought. HEHE. EZ COME EZ GO. If he really NEEDS to sell he will call me back. Tomorrow, I have a deal in Fletcher to work out and one on Smith, definately no shortage of motivated sellers.

Rewind to this afternoon. When I was headed down to walk Kelly called and was like hey how quick can you get over to Dearborn. I headed over, he had me kinda nervous but not too bad, whats the worst that could be wrong with a vacant lot. This morning the surveyor went out to find the lot lines and get ready to build a townhouse project(I'll post a pic). Ok so no big deal till I drive up and I start to see the surveyors flags and they just keep going and going into the neighbors parking lot about 20'. WWEELLL that wouldnt be to bad but we need about 28'x37' and our usable lot was about 27'x45'. Now depending on what the city determines the requirement is for the set back on that side we may be demolishing a portion of the neighbors parking lot or cutting a few feet off the back of this plan. Here it is: 3bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 car garage, Rent approx. $1000.

I guess I called it a great day a little early. 2 minor setbacks with the amount of things we are doing right now is more like an incredibly great day. : ) - Joshua

So its another nice day down here in SW Oklahoma. This afternoon I was at Elmer Thomas Park just strolling around like normal when out of the side of my eye I saw a small house sitting in the middle of the east side of the park, I know that hasn't been there before. Peeking around every corner of the house was well, check it out.

A BIIIIGGG TRUCK! Turns out from the other side its a house peeking around a truck!

It appears they are having some kind of performance tonight at Elmer Thomas. Anyhoo, I have been working a deal most of the day over on Cherry. Hopefully, I will be able to work something out. I'm hoping to get some OU football tickets outta the deal that should be fun. -Joshua

I worked this afternoon at the office(1-6pm). BORING! Earlier in the day, Kelly and I decided officially on the name of our real estate investment company - Park Avenue Associates LLC. Sounds professional, huh? Hopefully, we will soon purchase a property to remodel.
In other news, I was hoping the deed for the property I purchased in Wichita Falls would be here today so I can head back down there to file it and find out just exactly what I bought. Unfortunately, Its not here. Maybe tomorrow. - Joshua
